The AFN is an international, non-profit organization for scientists working on anaerobic fungi that aims to connect researchers from all over the world and wants to provide a centre of expertise on anaerobic fungi. Currently the networks sports around 120 members from all around the globe. The AFN can also be found on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter. Members can benefit from bi-weekly news updates, quarterly webinars, and many other opportunities to connect to other experts in this field. The AFN homepage also provides a lot of useful, expert-reviewed informaton on anaerobic fungi for everyone to see & download (e.g. reference databases for AF amplicon sequencing, the link to reference genomes, running & past projects on AF, profiles and contact information of AF experts, etc. pp.)
